We will travel to the Owasippe Scout Reservation (Twin Lake, Michigan) for Summer Camp 2010.  We leave Saturday July 24 and return Saturday July 31.

Information packets were distributed at the March 9 troop meeting.  Electronic copies for Scouts and Adults are available in “Downloads” in the left margin.

We welcome parents to come up.  Stay for a few hours, overnight, half week, or the whole week.  We can use your help at camp.  We need drivers each way.  We need help pulling the trailers.  If you are likely to attend, please let me (Ken McClurg) know now even if you’re unsure of your schedule.

Everyone attending camp needs to attend the July 13 meeting.

NEW for 2010
——————-
Motorboating and Water Sports (water skiing) Merit Badges will be offered at Owasippe this summer.  A smart scout interested in getting these merit badges should get the books and do most of the requirements at home with a local counselor (get a partial); then do the wet stuff at camp.

There will also be a Water Sports Outpost offered each evening.  Scouts are given a tube ride (pulled by a boat) !!!!

Also, Owasippe will offer the following Centennial Merit Badges - Tracking, Signalling and Carpentry.  These special merit badges will only be offered in 2010.  Centennial merit badges are styled after the 1911 versions except they have a gold border.
